This is great! The floor is very well done, with the light leading us into the frame. Funny thing is it reminds me of John Sargent's famous painting "The Daughter's of Edward Darley Boit" (if you've never seen it, you can see it at: http://www.jssgallery.org/Paintings/Daughters_of_Edward_Darley_Boit.htm

@GJC: Hi GJC, many thanks for your comment. I'm glad you like it and I feel flattered that you were reminded of this painting (which btw. I haven't seen before). Can you say what it is that reminds you?
Sorry, didn't mean to be strange about it. What reminded me is the large, flat area of floor which becomes itself part of the composition, and then in Sargent's portrait he places the children in an interesting relationship to each other within the pictoral space -- with a good deal of separation and not in conventional poses. The same with your cats. They are in the same space and obviously have some sort of relationship to each other, but they are also individuals within that space. Well, my comment no doubt sounds rather pompous and I mainly meant it as a compliment to the way you've seen the picture as a challenge in spatial arrangement.

@GJC: Thank you very much again, GJC. I supposed it was the relationship which reminds you. And you are right it is always very interesting to watch the interaction of both cats.
Beautiful shot - I also see the resemblance with the painting GJC mentioned. For me, it's the cats' white chests which look something like the girls' white pinafores.
